Berlin, den 04. Juli 2008. K&L Gates LLP hat das deutsche Technologieunternehmen Iosono GmbH im Zusammenhang mit einer Venture Capital-Investitionsrunde beraten. Die Iosono GmbH als Ausgründung des Fraunhofer-Instituts für Digitale Medientechnologie IDMT in Ilmenau hat eine innovative Methode zum 3D-Sounddesign mit Hilfe sogenannter Wellenfeldsynthese entwickelt und vermarktet diese hoch interessante Neuerung weltweit, insbesondere durch ihre US-Tochter Iosono Inc. in Hollywood.

Beteiligte Neuinvestoren sind neben der Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft die VCT Venture Capital Thüringen GmbH & Co. KG mit deren persönlich haftender Gesellschafterin bm-t beteiligungsmanagement thüringen GmbH.

Die Iosono GmbH wurde von K&L Gates Corporate-Partner Dr. Thomas Lappe (Berlin) beraten. Als Associate war Alexander Hartmann (Corporate, ebenfalls Berlin) tätig.

Für VCT/bm-t war das Münchner Büro von TaylorWessing unter der Führung von Dr. Peter Hellich (Corporate) tätig. Die Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft wurde durch ihre Inhouse-Abteilung beraten. Das deutsche K&L Gates Büro in Berlin wurde Anfang 2007 eröffnet und berät in- und ausländische Unternehmen in nationalen und grenzüberschreitenden Projekten. Schwerpunkte der Beratung sind Unternehmensrecht, M & A und Immobilientransaktionen sowie sämtliche wirtschaftsrechtlichen Fragen in den Bereichen Real Estate, Telecoms, Media & Entertainment und IT.
