Frankfurt, 15.04.2010 - Zusammen mit Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP und Schönherr v.o.s. hat SJ Berwin die IDG Capital Partners (IDG) bei ihrem 30 Mio. US$ Investment in die Sky Solar Holding Co. Ltd., Cayman Islands (Sky Solar) beraten.

Mit Tochtergesellschaften in Deutschland, Frankreich, Tschechien, Italien, Spanien, Griechenland, Bulgarien, Japan, Kanada und den Vereinigten Staaten ist Sky Solar ein internationales Unternehmen im Photovoltaikmarkt und übernimmt dabei die Finanzierung, Entwicklung, den Aufbau und die Bewirtschaftung der Photovoltaikanlagen. Derzeit bereitet Sky Solar seinen Börsengang vor.

Mit Büros in Hongkong, Peking, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Silicon Valley und Boston ist IDG eine Investmentfirma mit Fokus in China und einem Investitionsvolumen von über 2,5 Mrd. US$. IDG investiert in verschiedene Industrien, die von der wachsenden chinesischen Wirtschaft profitieren.

IDGs Investment in Sky Solar dient hauptsächlich der Realisierung zahlreicher Solarkraftwerke in Deutschland, Spanien und Tschechien mit einer Gesamtkapazität von mehr als 23 MW.
